Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and teaching hospitals. This position requires a strong commitment to patient health, the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement in medical practices.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine health status and treatment needs.
Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide patient care decisions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
Collaborate with healthcare teams in internal medicine, geriatrics, and urgent care settings to develop comprehensive care plans.
Participate in patient education initiatives, teaching patients about their conditions and treatment options.
Assist in the management of patients in the ICU, including ventilator management when necessary.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.

Qualifications

Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
Experience or training in addiction counseling is a plus.
Familiarity with internal medicine practices and geriatric care is beneficial.
Previous experience working in outpatient settings or teaching hospitals is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,308.96 - $140,189.28 per year
