Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) to join our team. The PNP/PA will provide advanced psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with practice policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty (required)
- Active PMHNP License in the state of Michigan (required) OR a licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan with prior experience in psychiatric care, including diagnostic treatment and medication management.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) (required)
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience providing psychiatric assessment and medication management (preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
