About Us:
Onyx Urgent Care and Primary Care is a growing, patient-centered clinic offering a wide range of services including urgent care (60% volume), primary care (30%), and weight loss (10%). Our clinic is open daily from 9 AM – 9 PM (closed on major holidays), and we see an average of 20–35 patients per day.
We are part of a network of 3 clinics with excellent support systems, including a supervising physician always available and an experienced lead PA/Clinical Director who works closely with new hires.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This is a sole provider role with support always available. Experience in primary care is preferred, but we welcome confident new grads who are eager to grow within the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care in urgent care, primary care, and weight loss settings
- Perform thorough evaluations and appropriate follow-ups
- Utilize EPIC EMR effectively and accurately code visits
- Collaborate with supervising physician and lead PA
- Deliver exceptional bedside manner and patient communication
- Practice safe and minimal controlled substance prescribing
Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time (36 hours/week)
- Must be available to work weekends

Requirements:
- Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Michigan
- Active DEA license (required)
- Strong bedside manner and attention to detail
- Familiarity with billing and coding practices
- Experience with EPIC (preferred)
- Urgent care and/or primary care experience preferred
