Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Salary Range: $97,000 – $145,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their cardiology team in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume clinic performing advanced heart procedures not commonly available on Colorado’s Western Slope.
The NP or PA will provide comprehensive care to adult patients under the supervision of a medical staff member, in accordance with treatment plans, clinical standards, and ethical guidelines. The ideal candidate promotes patient health through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
This position requires strong clinical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to quality, resource stewardship, and clear communication with patients, families, and staff is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-focused care
- Identify complications and communicate findings promptly
- Provide care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Perform inpatient rounding and consultations
- Supervise and interpret various stress tests (echo, exercise, nuclear, and dobutamine)
- Oversee Tilt Table testing
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a relevant clinical setting
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program, or completion of a PA program
- Current and unrestricted Colorado APN or PA license (DORA)
- Valid DEA license
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

- Proficiency in cardiovascular and general health assessments
- Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities efficiently
