Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and mental health needs
- Provide urgent and emergency mental health care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Manage mental health care during pregnancy and for transgender patients
- Adhere to IHSC policies and detention standards
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from a US school
- Completion of four years of psychiatry training
- Minimum one year of experience as a licensed psychiatrist
- Full, unrestricted medical license in the state of duty station
- Board Certification eligible by ABPN
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
