PhysicianWork was
initially conceived and designed in 1999 and 2000 and our official
launch date was December 11, 2000.
PhysicianWork was originally a simple 'bulletin board' website that allowed
physicians, medical practices & recruiting firms to post jobs and
candidate profiles. The user base exploded overnight, and with this
increasing popularity we invested considerable resources to
develop a more advanced website with secure login that was launched on July 14, 2001.
As the network continued to expand we launched DoctorWork and
LocumTenensWork in November of 2002.
PhysicianWork has continued to increase in popularity because it is
an exceptional resource for physician recruitment for hospitals, medical
practices & recruiting firms, and an incredibly powerful tool for physicians
seeking employment. The success of this website is directly related to
feedback from our users. We have an 'open ear' policy to suggestions,
and we update our website accordingly when able to do so. In addition,
PhysicianWork is extremely easy to use which has also contributed to
it's popularity.
PhysicianWork is owned 100% by StaffMD, Inc. (www.staffmd.com),
a leader in medical recruiting tools. StaffMD is
strictly a software/web company (i.e. we do not recruit or staff medical
facilities with health professionals). StaffMD also owns RxWork (www.rxwork.com),
an employment resource for pharmacy and pharmaceutical professionals,
and RnWork (www.rnwork.com),
a new employment resource for nursing professionals.
There have been
millions of pages viewed by hospitals, medical practices, physicians &
recruiting firms since we went online in December of 2000.
As reflected in the volume of postings & visitors here, it is obvious
that the future of physician recruiting is the internet. We intend to
stay in the forefront of internet based medical recruiting in the years
ahead. We have a strong vision of the future, and only a small part is
reflected on this website. The road ahead is challenging and bright, and
